Nationality:
• Candidate must be Indian

Applicants who are in last year of graduation degree can likewise eligible for IAS selection test.
From Foreign school degree of graduation recognized by the Association of Indian Universities can likewise eligible.

Age Limit:
To be appearing in IAS entrance exam, you should also qualify the age Criteria which is different for different categories. Lower age limit is 21 years
For General Candidates: Candidate’s Upper age limit is 32 years.
For OBC Candidates: Candidate’s Upper age limit is 35 years.
For SC/ST Candidates: Candidate’s Upper age limit is 37 years.
Physically Handicapped Candidates:
For General Candidates: Candidate’s Upper age limit is 42 years.
For OBC Candidates: Candidate’s Upper age limit is 45 years.
For SC/ST Candidates: Candidate’s Upper age limit is 47 years.
Relaxation of age is described as per the govt. rules.

Attempts:
For General Candidates: Candidate can appear for IAS exam is 6 times.
For OBC Candidates: Candidate can appear for IAS exam is 9 times.
For SC/ST Candidates: Candidate can appear for IAS exam countless times.
Physically Handicapped Candidates:
For General Candidates: Candidate can appear for IAS exam is 9 times.
For OBC Candidates: Candidate can appear for IAS exam countless times.
For SC/ST Candidates: Candidate can appear for IAS exam countless times.
